One of my favorite parts of the changing seasons is switching up my beauty routine. As much as I love the vampy shades that dominate in winter, I’m always happy to play around with the soft and sheer shades that make a resurgence in the spring. Plus, the fun spring beauty trends make for a nice distraction from the nasty weather and constant allergy attacks we’re currently suffering through. In Vegas, we don’t have spring weather, we have two months of living in a wind tunnel. Pair that with the huge amounts of pollen floating through the air and the promise of 100+ degree weather being just around the corner, and you’ll start to understand why most of us don’t get excited about spring in Las Vegas. These are the products that have kept my spirits high this spring.

Sometimes I do this weird thing where I hesitate to take interest in super popular things. Like, I didn’t start reading Harry Potter until book 3 came out because I just couldn’t imagine the books would live up to the hype (they did). Whether it’s hype anxiety or me being a hipster for two seconds, I’m not really sure, but it kept me from giving in to Glossier for a good long while. Glossier Lidstar was the product that finally broke me down because I had to have the shade Moon. It’s truly one of the prettiest things I’ve ever seen. I figured if I was already placing an order for Moon, I might as well order a few more things, right? I’ve already reviewed the Generation G Lipstick if you’re curious about that one. Today, however, we’re talking about Lidstar, specifically the shades Moon and Lily.

Just looking at the Glossier Generation G lipstick and the ColourPop Blotted Lip, it’s easy to see some immediate similarities. However, there are also some important differences that may impact which one you decide to buy, if any. Naturally, I thought a comparison review was necessary. Today I’m sharing my review of the ColourPop Blotted Lip and the Glossier Generation G Lipstick to help you make your decision. Thanks to fellow beauty blogger Maria for inspiring this post!
