Rocksbox Review | September 2017

Goooooood morning beautiful people! jk I’m writing this Rocksbox review on a Friday night fueled by what some people would describe as “way too much coffee.” Pfft, I don’t need that kind of negativity.  You’re still beautiful though, I wasn’t kidding about that part <3

Whatever time you’re reading this, it’s a great time to talk about jewelry right? Right. Let’s see what was inside my most recent Rocksbox!

My Rocksbox Set

Robyn Rhodes Rory Hexagon Duster Earrings in Black Druzy | Rocksbox Member Price $74

I liked these earrings, but was I in love with them? Nope. I think they would look really cute styled with a more complex necklace or a dress with a lot of embellishment to compliment it without competing with it. Most of the stuff I wear on a regular basis is more simple, so for me these earrings are just a little too plain. I do love the druzy trend though, so you’ll probably see some more of these types of pieces in future sets.

Slate Stevie Necklace | Rocksbox Member Price $49

Just a few days before this Rocksbox set arrived, I mentioned that if it’s sparkly and spikey I pretty much have to have it. Needless to say, this necklace was a hit for me. It’s a great length, the spikes don’t flip around too much, and I’m a huge fan of mixed metals. This necklace creates a subdued edginess that I think is fun for an everyday look.

Slate Sawyer Choker in Gunmetal| Rocksbox Member Price $54

I paired this with a black tank top with faux leather piping along the neckline and this super cute varsity jacket I just got from Forever21. This is one of my favorite outfits I’ve worn in awhile, I’m absolutely living for it. I think this gunmetal choker really pulls the outfit together and gives it the spunky vibe I was looking for. I ended up buying this one, the thought of sending it back was making me sad. Like, saying goodbye to a friend at the airport sad. I’m so happy I get to keep this choker!

If I had purchased all of these pieces from a retail store, it would have cost me at least $177. Instead, I paid just $33 to keep the Slate Sawyer Choker after using my monthly $21 shine credit. Great value. I got to keep the piece I loved, and send back the ones I didn’t see myself having a long term relationship with.
